The power outage last night was the same issue that occurred over the Thanksgiving weekend. November 30th we brought in a third party engineering firm to determine exactly what happened and whether the issue was on Evergy’s equipment or the City’s. They were unable to replicate the problem and installed a recording device to monitor the line in case it happened again.
The engineering firm is headed out to download information from the recording device today and we’re hopeful to have answers. We’ll update this post as more information becomes available.
