Informational Meeting about the Elm Street Sidewalk Project

The City of Baldwin City is pleased to announce the Elm Street Pedestrian Sidewalk Project, funded primarily by the Kansas Department of Transportation, is moving forward towards construction this summer and is setting up an informational meeting regarding the project. The City is notifying property owners abutting the City’s rights-of-way (Southside of Elm Street) of this upcoming sidewalk construction. This informational meeting will have city staff and the consultant there to answer questions and have maps to reference. There will be no formal presentation. The project consists of a 6-foot wide new sidewalk, ADA accessibility, decorative lighting and benches from Baker University (8th Street) westerly to the Midland Railway crossing along the south side of Elm Street.
