
Beginning at approximately 1pm on Monday, November 17th, Baldwin City water customers were shut off for emergency repairs to a main water line from the intersection of 3rd and High Streets over to Orange Street/N 200th Road, and along Orange Street past Oakwood Cemetery entrance. Crews worked diligently to repair the break to the line, and reported the outage was expected to last approximately two hours.
At approximately 2:45pm, a second water line break was discovered, necessitating further repair and extending the repair time to nearly three hours.
As of 3:45pm, water service should be fully restored for all customers.
The speed limit on Crimson Avenue near one of our senior residential neighborhoods is decreasing from 30mph to 25mph, effective immediately.
