Internal power generation used for over three hours during power outage.
A tree fell on the main power feed into town, necessitating removal from the external grid in order to safely cut the tree off of the line. Power was maintained for citizens via internal generation from the City powerplant.
Culverts under the road allowing access to the east side of the City Lake collapsed in March, necessitating culvert replacement.

TRUCK ROUTE CLOSURE ALERT: High Street will be closed from 6th Street to 9th Street, and 8th Street will be closed from Grove Street to Indiana Street for Smoke on the Bricks.
A localized electric outage occurred this morning, August 8, near Highway 56 and Wesley Street.
All electric usage per kilowatt hour rate categories are increased by 5% for usage beginning July 1, 2024, and again 5% on October 1, 2024 per City Council Ordinance.
US-56 from US-59 to Baldwin City chip and seal work started today and should finish by early next week.
This includes City Hall, Public Works, and the Police Department.
